Arab nations break their currency pegs. The could adopt the “Khaleeji” – consider it a Gulf states “euro” – as soon as 2015.
Look for Germany to loose it´s AAA.
Greece pulls out of the euro.
Japanese and U.S. cost of borrowing starts to climb.
Fewer bidders show up at Treasury auctions.
European bail out mechanism gets overloaded.
United States steps in to help euro bailout further.
China or Hong Kong break dollar pegs.

We believe the market has already made gold the new reserve currency. The governments and central banks haven´t officially adopted it yet, but the market has voted gold in by revaluing it upwards for the past ten years against all paper currencies. (Eric Sprott)
Swedish Krona – this currency is backed by a hawkish central bank, so it´s no wonder the euro is turning in multiyear lows against it. The Riksbank, unlike the Swiss, doesn´t seem worried about its strength, although some corporations do squawk. It´s climbing against the dollar.
