Är börsen så bra som många verkar tro? Dagens ekonomer baserar sina gissningar på tvivelaktig statistik.
ÄR BÖRSEN SÅ BRA SOM MÅNGA VERKAR TRO?
En studie av Russel 3000 (=98% av all börslikviditet på USA marknaden) ”Blackstars Study”.
De flesta aktier föll i värde trots att index steg 900%. De översta 25 procenten stod för all vinst. De sämsta 75 procenten avkastade i genomsnitt 0% exkl. inflation.
S&P 500 åren 1950 till 2009: Total avkastning efter inflation 40% på 59 år. 1968 till 1983 0% realt i 15 år.
”ECONOMICS?”
Economics as practised today is just opinions and guesswork that uses slippery statistics to justify sleazy policies.
An economy is a complex adaptive system. Cause and effect are not linear. Inputs don´t lead directly to outputs. Unintended consequences are common. It is not the rational, mechanical world the majority of the mathematical economists naively imagines.
In an economy there are thousands of influences – real wages – inflation. No one can say which factor can come into play at any given time… or what effect it will have. There are no factors that can be isolated and studied. And you can´t measurably improve the world based on the complex decisions of hundreds of millions of individuals.
Trade, savings, investment, the division of labor – these are the bedrock innovations upon which modern civilization rests. The rate of return from violence declined, the rate of return from mutual exchange (trade) increased. This win-win deal added to wealth. By specializing in what they can do best … and trading with others … individuals and nations, grow richer. They don´t just move existing wealth around. They increase the world´s total wealth.
