Anledningar till deras ”aktivism” som inte framkommer i media eller officiellt:
Giving the appearance of unifying the country behind the president.
Give the people an adrenaline rush.
Feed the US military-industrial complex.
Distract Americans from a number of scandals.
Gives the illusion for a few moments that they are a constitutional republic.
Send a message throughout the Middle East that the US is all-powerful and the dollar must remain the reserve currency in all oil transactions.
HUR FÖRSÖRJER SIG POLITIKER?” Politicians make their living through obfuscation, spin, and outright deceit, and always have.
Labels are words. Words have no meaning or multiple meanings for them. When politicians speak, the dictionary and common usage need not apply. As a result elections usually devolve into local popularity contests, not struggles between competing ideologies.
Voting is mostly about ingrained prejudices, life-long habits, perceived personal interest, and peer pressure.
That is the “foolish consistency” which Emerson called “the hobgoblin of little minds.”
