FED UP WITH FED?
Realistiska investerare vet att det är ett spel. Men många tror på ”tjötet.” De tror att FED (Federal Reserve, USA´s centralbank) via någon slags magi, vilken aldrig förklarats eller visats – gör så att ekonomin ”blir bättre.”
FED existerade inte den första miljonen åren av mänsklighetens historia. Det är endast de senaste hundra åren FED har funnits och inte mer än femtio år sedan de tog upp dagens aktivistiska teorier och knappt fyra år sedan de började applicera dem så aggressivt.
PROGNOSER, FUNGERAR DE OCH VARFÖR GÖR DE INTE DET?

And in spite of the enormous and constantly growing literature on business cycles, business forecasting will never, any more than opinion polls, become an exact science.” (Henry Hazlitt. OBS! Human society is not a controlled laboratory. This fact makes the forecaster´s job of accurately predicting future events impossible.
The myth that economists can predict the future is not just harmless quackery, however. Central planners use the same theories to direct the economy.
Many forecaster have jobs with the Congress, the White House, and virtually every agency of the government, and will happily issue predictions to no end.
In the Austrian view, on the other hand, economists have three functions: to further our understanding of the free market, to identify possible consequences of government policies, and to counter economic myths.
Economic forecasting has nothing to do with these objectives. Forecasting has helped discredit the whole discipline and fueled an exodus of economists from the more mundane academic world to the arena of state control and coercion.
