Politicians get power by spending money, not by saving it…
And they can only get the money to spend by preying on the people whose time they are meant to protect.
Honest politicians, if there were any, would cut spending and limit their own power – not expand it.
And therein lies the whole tawdy story of Wall Street and Washington. The markets and the economy are pumped up with debt. And no one wants it to stop.”
