The current GDP (BNP) expansion has been going on since 2009 – and is now the second longest expansion in history.
And the USA has been a going concern, growing in power and wealth since 1781.
Trends go on until they stop.
They don´t ring a bell when the end comes. But they do put bubble brains in front of TV cameras.
We are living in a Deep State Paradise. We have a sunny disposition and undying faith in public officials. What do we have to worry about? After all the “government is all of us” Hillary Clinton assured us. It would never do anything that was not for our own good, would it?
We are serene… and overjoyed, of course with so much new control, The Deep State will help us be better people… never speeding, never trying to save on our taxes … and certainly, never, criticizing our democratically elected leaders, no matter what numbskulls they appear to be. Bill B: “What are U.S. troops still doing in Europe? Why should not Germany buy gas from Russia? And why should Europeans spend more money to defend themselves against Russia, which has only a tiny economy and poses no real threat of invasion?”
“Saving face” is a big deal in China. And the Chinese in our experience (we have an office in Beijing) are even more jingoistic dumb bells than Americans. When it comes down to an “us versus them” trade fight… we would put our money on the Chinese.
The trade war between the U.S. and China may be just a silly political stunt.”
